Does anyone know where in Canada I can order a 3.5 lb trigger connector for my Glock? I want to reduce the weight on my model 34 for IPSC competition but the companies that sell through Brownell's in the States aren't registered to export to Canada.

Thanks.

The Glock 34 and 35 should come stock with a 3.5# connector. If you check the OEM case the gun came with it should say which one by the bar code on the front. Barring that you can pull the connector out and have a look, If it is a stock 3.5# connector it will have a small "-" on the side.

Your connector is about as light as they come.

You could consider changing out the springs (chiefly the striker spring), but the "stock" Glock 34s might already be "for competition only".

Go to glockparts dot com. They have most of the parts that you are looking for.

If you *really* want to go "light", go to glockstore dot com and look at the replacement trigger systems and skeleton strikers.

I have a ghost inc 3.5 trigger on my G17. Used it. Didnt' like it, put the OEM back on. If it fits on your model34 you can have it + shipping....that is, if I can find it. Edit to add that if you want true 3.5lb pull, you'd also need a firing pin spring (get a 4lb) and a trigger spring (get a 6lb), both can be had at wolff springs.

Yes, I can use the G34 in IPSC. I just did on the weekend. It's only allowed in the Open Division because of the long barrel length. And it comes with a 4.5 lb trigger. Regular factory is 5.5 lbs for the other models.

What didn't you like about the 3.5 lb pull? Some people tell me that it will be too light and just encourage an accidental discharge on the range. However a few shooters I'm competing against have theirs as low as 2 lbs on their STIs. One thing that bugs me is the .5 inch pull before the shot.

yup that trigger creep...oh well. I think mushyness is part of the design.
