Try this grip

It's all in the grip technique

Well I've had some Glock problems (G17, Gen 4) as well but kinda the opposite of the OP. On the first trip to the range with my new Glock, it shot about 150 rounds flawlessly. On the second range trip, the slide locked open on every shot - no changes in grip from the first trip. Three other shooters tried the gun and several types of ammo were also tried. This made no difference.

Thought the slide lock spring may have been installed incorrectly, but a quick look into the frame shows it squeezed under the pin as it should be. Also the gun is relatively clean and the slide lock does not bind or stick up.

Very puzzled. The same issue affected my friend's G17 on his first range trip then the problem vanished on the second trip with no changes to the pistol.

In my case, I don't buy it being a grip issue. I shoot other folks' Glocks frequently and have never had a lock-open failure. As mentioned in my earlier post, other Glock shooters tried my pistol and experienced the same failures then went back to their own Glocks and did not have an issue. Similarly, I experienced lock-open issues with my Glock but when using other Glocks (all G17s) experienced no issues. All of this with all guns using the same Commercial ammo.

While I don't dispute that limp wristing is a possible source of problems in some situations, I can't see it being a credible explanation for what I am experiencing currently.

Could you take some pics of your glock with the slide off, looking down at the internals. Also have you done any mods to the gun at all, changed a trigger spring or put in a extended slide release?
