Can someone explain to me what exactly the "Ultimate Trigger Stop" does, and (in your opinion, of course) is it a worthwhile upgrade? Does anyone know if it's a permitted modification to use for IDPA?

Also, it the extra weight of the tungsten guide rod really effective in reducing recoil/muzzle movement? How about that mod for IDPA - is it permitted?

If I remeber correctly, it allows you to adjust, and eliminate any up take. Once adjusted properly I believe it'll set the trigger back to the same, or very close to the reset position, so every shot/pull is from where it would normaly ''click''/reset. I had one for my Gen 3 and Gen 4 and never got around to installing them. From what I remeber they had to be adjusted and then re-adjusted..... didn't have the patience..... sounds like a cool add on, though.

I find the tungsten guide rod makes a difference but I think it would not be allowed in Enhanced Service Pistol as tungsten is heavier than steel I think.

From IDPA rule book:

11. Full length guide rod manufactured of material that is no heavier than common steel.

It would not be allowed for Stock Service Pistol for sure.
