GLOCK VS JERICHO, what one do I want ?

I enjoy the Jericho more. I have one in 9mm and another in 45ACP. The reason I like them is because they are heavy and as a result I find them to be less snappy.

If I was going to carry a gun then I would pick a Glock or some other lighter pistol.

I would suggest a cz 75 (any variant) as parts will be easier to come by if something does break (factory parts at least). And they are essentially the same gun.

In my experience (have 2 glocks and a cz, have shot a few Jerichos ) the glocks are more sensitive to poor fundamentals and can be a frustrating pistol to try and build skills with for a new shooter. If your heart is set on a 40 be aware of chamber support issues with early generation glocks and some newer Jerichos, 9mm is not an issue. If you have your heart set on a matching pistol/rifle set then by all means go with the Jericho, any of them I've ever fired have been accurate though I am not a big fan of the polymer framed models recoil signature compared to an all metal Jericho or CZ.

Both.

Imo the Jericho is not as easy to get used to, awesome gun though but heavy. Glock is nice and light and i found it easy to shoot well with.

If you have a chance shake hands with a m&p, they are glockish with a tiny bit of familiarity to a 1911 (at least for me anyways)

I have 2 Jericho's , love this gun in .45 acp, its big, heavy, soakes up the recoil of this big round, very controlable, I am a 1911 fan but I prefere my 941 Jerico over my 1911 , its the best double action .45 I have ever shot, and aucurate to boot........I hate Glock,...if a firearm had no soul, it wold have GLOCK stamped on its slide......LOL

I agree with silverfoxdj. Start with a 9mm. You say you are not new to pistols so you probably have a 9mm already. But if you already have a 9mm and are looking for say something in 45 ACP, you may with to have one of each in that calibre.

Also as gravel says they are fundamentally different pistols. There is very little overlap in features. The Jericho is an Israeli all steel pistol, hammer fired, the Glock 21 is an Austrian polymer frame, steel slide, striker fired. I have both and would not part with either IMHO

I own 4 Jericho's 941 Steel & one Glock.

Im slowly coming around on the glock but the Jericho is a WICKED pistol

I'm in the same boat as the OP right now. Snag a Jericho (I refuse to call it a baby eagle)? Or Glock out my collection with some polymer?
I will probably end up going with the Jericho, mainly because it's a little more unique compared to the M&P and Glocks I see at the range. Plus, it's a cool looking piece with good reliability, and about $100 less than the Glock.

That said, I don't think either of us would be upset with either gun, as both will offer a good time, and good performance.
I think the hardest decision I will have is 9mm or 40cal?

I have own the Jericho in 9mm and .45 ACP and a Glock 19, 17 and 21. In .45ACP I would say the Jericho is a better choice. In 9mm, I would take the Glock. If you decide Jericho, look at a Tanfoglio Combat, about $100 cheaper and essentially the same gun. In fact, Tanfoglio makes the Jericho IIRC.

And good friend of mine has a Jerico. I would recommend it they have great triggers.
They are clones of cz products.
On his gun the trigger feels like it belongs on a rifle. It's that good. If the safety was a decocker type I would own one too.
