Since we seemingly have a once a week thread that more or less turns into a Glock love or hate thread I thought I'd take away the pain. Let's make it a poll.

Do you/would you own a Glock, yes or no. And then discuss if you wish.

I'll kick it off by posting & voting for "yes".

I've got > 30,000 rounds thru a Glock 22 .40 S&W that I've been shooting since 1995 without one hitch. No fails to feed, fire, extract or eject. Finish is still holding up pretty well considering all the rounds down the pipe and in & out of a holster thousands of times, too.

Also a few hundred down the pipe of this one, too. Same deal, no hitches.

I've also owned a second gen G17 9mm, too. But sold it after deciding I liked shooting the .40 S&W off that frame size better.

Next Glock I plan to buy will be an original G19 9mm compact, though.

And don't get me wrong. With my "yes" vote, I'm not saying the Glock is the "be all, end all". I respect the Glock for what it is. If I had to enter a SHTF situation at the next turn and could only be in possession of one handgun, I would chose the Glock 22 .40 cal that has served me well.

But I still also love the 1911, the BHP and a few others.

Just my .02

How can anyone NOT like Glock? Honestly? What isn't there to like?

Cheap? Check
Durable? Check

The whiners like to whine about them, but given the option between a Glock and their Fancy 2011 for their carry gun to the gates of hell, they're going to go with the Glock.

Nope,
In my eyes, Pop culture and "gang-bangers" with there glocks sticking out of their pants have ruined the image of the glock enough to make me not want one :D

I have tried and failed to feel the love. I hate the mushy trigger. I hate the plastic 2x4 feeling grip. I respect that this gun has a following, and I don't ridicule people for finding the good that this system offers, but it's just not for me.

I've tried out my instructor's Glock while doing my pistol qualifying/training for my regrettable stint working for Brinks. I found the trigger and the overall feel of the gun rather lacking. I prefer CZ style pistols and actually, I prefer my CZ-52 over the Glock. More power, more comfortable and cheaper ammunition.

There are three firearms I won't sell. My 870, AR and G-17. Everything else is for sale, for the right price.

Those three firearms I won't sell have a lot in common. Reliability, function and durability. All three have numerous available parts and upgrades, and all three are user friendly. YMMV

No. Nice accurate guns, but too light a flippy in the hands. Got to use jacketed ammo and the cases are a little buldge after use, so reloading the fired barss can cause problems if reloaded to many times. Not my choice for target/action shooting.

That said, if I had to daily carry a gun a Gock would be on the short list I would want.

my accuracy is terrible with a Glock. It may be my fault but I don't appreciate the feel of them. I haven't shot any other polymer handguns though, but I'm sure I'll find another one I prefer.
