Wow!! If this is what I can hit with a stock Glock "service pistol" with a crappy trigger, and crappy stock sights I wonder what I could do with a "real" pistol! :rolleyes:

I'm not saying Glocks are inaccurate, its the operator that sucks. My comment was regarding the belief that only a high dollar "target" pistol is capable of respectable groups. Seeing how the Glock was designed and intended as a service pistol, shooting tiny groups at stationary paper is definitely not a concern. I strongly doubt any service pistol could compete against the guns strictly designed for competitive shooting such as those offered by Hammerli.

Is that 30K of factory ammo?

I'm not bothered by the occasional stovepipes I get but that's with what I consider decent reloads. I'm far from an expert, but 30K and no hiccups sounds pretty impressive.

They're fine guns I just don't like the aesthetic of them. I'm about full metal pistols. I think that they look cleaner and I like the heft of a metal gun. Stupid superficial reasons, I know; but since I spend more time looking at and playing with my guns than shooting them this plays into my purchasing.

I'm also driven away by the Glock "stigma" of hoods and homies. I could be at a party talking to an acquaintance about shooting and some drunken #### disturber will always roll over and be like and I quote:

"You guys are talking about guns? Yeah, Glock! Glock!.. That's a gun right?"

Although nothing shuts people like that down faster than saying "Ceska Zbrojovka". It's like a magical incantation, work it into a sentence three times and said idiot's eyes glaze over and they go away. No heel tapping required!
 
Glocks have a no-nonsense, minimalistic aesthetic that appeals to different tastebuds opposed to, say, the busy-body lines of a P30 or something.

Here it's saying 'Ready when You are, sir.'

No Glocks for me, thanks. I won't argue that they're a reliable duty gun, but so is my CZ 75, which appeals more to my aesthetic sensibilities. I prefer traditional-looking, all metal guns for my own use.

I also loathe the association with gang-bangers, rap "musicians", and other such cultural degenerates.
 
My G17C and 2 mags of WinSXT's are asleep in the wall safe in the bedroom. Shhhh... They like the company of the Surefire 6P in their too.

It is hard to rhyme "CZ75" with too many things.:D
 
My first love was the Glock, my experience was with the Glock. I've owned dozens of pistols but nothing will ever beat the simplicity and accuracy of the glock. Believe it or not I get better groups out of my Model 22 than I do with my 9mm Sig P226! Every bullet groups well no stove pipes, jams, failure to feed/pick up live rounds, NOTHING! When teaching others to shoot pistol its my go to gun. For firearms safety course they are the same. I am friends with many people who's live depend on the reliability and repeatabilty of this firearm on a daily basis. The price cannot be beat at all anywhere. With the vast array of quality aftermarket parts for it now the Glock is a real contendor.
I must say though the media has given it a rather "evil" image.
 
Owned one (G17), sold it, worse case of sellers remorse I've ever had.
I will own one again, and will probably add a G21SF just because.

(Edit: Whoa, Ryvax, that's spooky! I posted after I read the the opener... then I saw yours!)
