Has anyone ever used the GLOW-ON sight paint product?

I'm thinking I need to brighten up my sights on the 1911-A1 I just purchased and was looking around the net and found this product.

Are there any other products you would recommend?

I am not familiar with GLOW-ON so I can not comment on their product but I just came back from visiting my firearms coating vendor in Texas and they are soon to release a glow in the dark sight paint. I got to see the sample product and was amazed how good it was, it was easily as bright as the tritium sights I have on some of my firearms if not brighter. I don't have a release date for the product yet but I suspect it is not far away. I will add it to my web site once available and post about it on FB and here on CGN.

Regards,

i know you can buy a bottle of the chargeable liquid from pretty much any craft store (like Micheal's) its like $3 a bottle.
i know it dosnt have a gun pic on it... but its the same stuff that some places charge 10x the price for.

Here is how I do my sights :

1- put a white base paint, let it dry
2- put over a marking paint orange fluo (you will found it in can, spray it on a rag and put it on the sight with a tiny paint brush)

the white base will absorb the black of the metal and it will make the marking paint very bright

Yeah - that's makes sense.

One of my toys is an M&P - so ya know I'm gonna be trying your method - SOON!

I should probably change out the sights - but that kinda feels like putting premium gas into Yugo ...

Do you know what the product is called at Michaels?

I ordered some of the Glow-On product last week. Still waiting to receive it though. It got really good reviews on other firearms forums. I'll let you all know how it turns out. Apparently it is supposed to be brighter than an other fluorescent paint.

Bought some, awesome product, very bright, but as any phosphorescent paint it requires charging. Can't comment on durability as I only got it for a few weeks.
