What is "the" sight for a railed gas block front sight.......I have an Arms 40L that it will be paired up with? Makes no difference to me whether it is a Flip Up of Fixed.

Ideas, suggestions welcome......are there different sights because it is a gas block......what are the sights to avoid.......you get the picture....what works, what doesn't kind of question.

Also, where would one obtain your suggested sight.....dealers on CGN?

Thanks

For a gas block sight you will need a specific flip up for the railed gas blocks as none I know are the proper height for a rail mounted sight (well we make one for a gov gun but that does not help you...)

Different gasblocks

There are different kinds of railed gasblocks, normal gasblock rail height, and the taller ones that matches the height of the reciever. I have a factory railed gasblock on my Remington R25 with Bushmaster Flip-up iron sights, and another railed gasblock on a new AR15 upper I'm building that matches the receiver height. I don't know who made that second gasblock, I just got it with a used barrel I bought from a friend.

So, it depends what kind of gasblock you have.

So, I have one of these coming:

I want to be able to switch from IPSC Standard Division, (no optics), and also shoot Multi-gun with an optic, or 2:D.....

I was going to get QD Mounts for the Optics, and leave the folding sights on it!

Maybe this isn't going to work!

Thanks for the replies!

Midwest Ind makes a front sight specifically for the lower height gas block. Interestingly they also make a taller pic rail gas block that puts the rail at the same height as the upper receiver rail so it can use a standard front sight.
