Here are a few picks from our Goat hunt. I did the ranging and Norm took this one at just over 25 yards.

Nice pics, and it looks like a good hunt. How did the ground blind work? I have a similar one that I will try out on deer this fall.

That blind in the photo is a can-tire piece of crap. Can't even remember the make, black box yellow writing. It is a carbon lined one but it tore almost immediately. The fabric is very weak and very noisy. The goats were taken from a double-bull blind, spend the extra and get a good one..

Nice shot, right in the heart, something to be proud of, congrats to you guys .

By the way, are these "goats" called "pronghorns" or something like that?

They are known as Pronghorn Antelope, but are not an antelope at all, but rather a cousin to the goat family.

And yes, speed goats is what we call 'em out here. Second only to the African Cheetah for land speed IIRC.

OK, OK, everybody is right just as much as wrong. :D

Wikipedia:
"The pronghorn (Antilocapra americana) is the only surviving member of the family Antilocapridae, and the fastest land mammal in North America running at speeds of 61 mph (about 98 km/h) and the second-fastest land animal, second only to the cheetah. The pronghorn is also known as the pronghorn antelope, but is not a true antelope. It is a unique animal with no close relatives. Both the males' and the females' horns are made up of a hairlike substance that grows around a bony core; the outer sheath is shed annually."

Mine's made by Ameristep. I think it's one of the 'better' ones.

I really like the double bull cause you can see through the 1 foot or so, high window all the way around 360 degree's but it is impossible to see in and you shoot through the fabric. Also water proof cloth that doesn't make any noise from the rain or wind. This will be my next big purchase.

That's B.S. Pronghorns are actually members of the bear family. We had one tear our tent apart and chew our cooler all to hell. Vicious things. I'd never hunt one unless I was safe in my truck.

Yeah, but inside the truck is only safe if you don't leave food there. Pronghorns will run into and break the windshield in if the smell bacon.

I shot my first antelope in the late 50's. Although I lived on the prairies until 1979 - today is the first time I have ever seen/heard them referred to "goats". It has always been antelope or pronghorns...

"goats - speed goats" must be a younger age thing...

I think any blind would work with pronghorns. They seem inquisitive and not near as smart as they are fast.
