I'm going to be around the Saskatoon - Bruno/Humbolt area from rememberance day until the following wednesday... Driving there from BC for a wedding..

I figured I would at least look into the costs of doing some hunting while in another province. Just downloading Adobe reader now so i can view the SK regs.. but I figured I would ask CGN anyways..

How much will it cost a BC resident to duck hunt in SK? I have my federal stamp already.
What about whitetails or mulies? (Edit: found the cost of whitetail & mule... DAMN!)

Thanks for the help. Might have some time to get together with some Saskatoon CGN members if anyone wants to go for coffee..

the last of our ducks have migrated from around Bruno - Humbolt area just over a week ago. There are still a few greater Canada geese around on the bigger lakes.
Mule deer are not available to out of province hunters.
Whitetails are available, for one week about the third week of November.

Look on p.17 of the synopsis. Canadian residents can purchase a license for one either-### whitetail. Season dates vary by zones. For the dates you will be here, it looks like your best bet is the muzzleloader only season (01OCT-30NOV) in Saskatoon Wildlife Management Zone (SMZ). Much of the province's rifle season doesn't start until 25NOV but if you don't mind driving a bit further, notice that zones 56 through 73 are available for rifle hunting now until 30NOV.

(It's a little strange in the SMZ and Regina/Moose Jaw and Buckland Prince Albert zones - as a Canadian resident you can switch to shotgun on 25 NOV for the last five days, but Sask. residents can opt for shotguns in those zones from 01NOV.)
