Gonna give it a wurl this weekend. Leave tommorow. Usually this time of year I'm only after cougers. But I thought I would mix it up. Good luck to anyone else going out.

Dave.

I have seen brown bunnies on white snow

Um... that only helps... white bunnies on a darke background!! unless of course by no snow, you mean very little, then it gets difficult.

Actually, for some odd reason, this year I have seen many brown bunnies on the white snow, and we have had a lot of snow this year.

It has been a very good (and tasty) bunny season so far.

What kinda bunnies do you have in your neck of the woods??

Ha,ha

I think this is my brain fart. I read that by him "mixing it up" he was going for both cougar and bunnies at the same time.

I was trying to picture what he'd be packing.:p

After a re-read, I think he's only going for rabbits this time 'round so a .22 ling should be just about right:D

In my area the rabbits are snowshoe hare.Till the end of partridge (ruffed grouse) or when rabbit numbers are low I use one of my 28 gauges. When the partridge season is closed and rabbit numbers are high I usually use a .22.
