Well here it is. I'm just about ready to head off to visit Bone Collector again for another try at Bullwinkle. If you remember by story from last year, you know that incredible adventures may be in the cards.

I'll let you know how it all works out. This year, I've changed the load in my Remington 700 Stainless Mountain Rifle in .30-06. If you recall, my 180 Partition load last year dropped a bit too much for my liking when I shot my bull at 300 yards. Now I've worked up a load with 168-grain Barnes TSX pushed by 63 grains of Vihtavuori N560. The muzzle blast sounds like an Ultramag going off, and the ball of fire that emerges from the muzzle is truly incredible, almost reminiscent of a muzzle loader. Still, it gives me an average of 2,900 fps over the chronograph and shots into one inch at 200 metres.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

oh well foxer pussied out on me so I guess I have to become deff

P-17, you can tell us the truth.

Bone Collector had a little too much Tangle Ridge and got "grabby" with you, and youhad to leave. Don't worry, it's not your fault.. :D

Nothing was moving. We had a hell of a time even dialing in a potential area this year because there was no movement and negligible fresh sign. Even cow/calf sightings were extremely rare and fleeting. In addition, there were hunters all over the place.

welcome to the region 6 any-bull season :!:

less hunters here than in your region Ill bet , CO checked us at about 4pm in the aftenoon 1 day and he was putting names in his book for reference (in case someone went missing etc, he always does it here , nice guy so we dont worry about it)
anyhow he only had 20 names including the 5 of us that were out in the bush since daybreak on saturday covering aprox 500kms of roads.
