What are the going prices for these? Looking at one. Possible dates 1920-30s. Not much bluing left. But everything functional

If it were in very good condition, I'd estimate 400-450, maybe stretching to 500 if it were really nice. You say most of the blueing is gone, so I'd say around $250-300. Hard to do better than that without pics.
 
Its all about the condition, especially the bore. All matching numbers = more $. Tight-groupers = more $, and I mean 10 rounds inside an inch or less at 50 yds. I've paid from $225 to $550 for the six or seven that have passed through my hands in the last five years. Average is 400-450 as 9.3 Mauser said. The sights make a big difference too. The PH7 and PH7A rear sights are better than the BSA Model 8 sights, and the FS21 and FS22 front sights are better than the BSA Model 19 sights issued on a lot of them.
