We have been able (the past year) to get SR-25 EM Rifles but NOT the EM Carbines.
The reason is that our approved US State Department Export Permits specifically disallow the export of Knights rifles with threaded barrels, with Flash Suppressors or Flash Hiders, and with any type of folding, collapsing, etc. stock. The EMR's comply with these restrictions... but the EMC's as built/sold by Knights do not comply with the restrictions in our permits and so they cannot be exported under that approved export license.
I can't speak for the restrictions that may or may not be in the Knights/OST permits or whether Knights is building versions for OST that would comply with any restrictions they may have in their export permits... OST would be better able to answer those questions.
It is not unusual for State Department to be inconsistent in their approvals and their restrictions... OST/Knights may have a permit that allows export of items that our permit does not... again, only they would have that info.
Pretty sure I specifically said I'm indifferent if it sells or not. Any less than my asking price and I'll just keep it and shoot it myself. I'm not exactly going to cry myself to sleep if I end up keeping it. Go buy a cheaper AR, you might get lucky and find a $2600 Noveske.
I've already bought a few hi priced rifles and I don't regret the purchases. Just make sure you know what you want and are getting before you dish out.
