After buying my XCR and getting it done up for coyotes I think Im going to buy an AR. Im going to arrange to take my restricted test here hopefully next week. I want a rifle with a solid upper similar to an XCR but would like a CQB style rifle, nice short and compact. Looking to spend around $2500 on the rifle itself. I really like that $3300 Noveske( very ###y) on the board right now and would like a build to look similar. So any ideas on where I can find something like I described? Not interested in Norcrinco but rather a quality rig. Im a newb when it comes to the black rifles and all input is appreciated.

Cheers!!

Good thing with AR's is how modular it is. Thats why people have "project" rifles.
I would say if you want to get into it as a hobby you should just build one. Then you can have it exactly how you like it.

If you are willing to spend 2500 on the rifle then it would certainly be best spent building a rifle to your specs. This way for 1500 to whatever you can have a rifle that is truly YOUR rifle and you will learn a lot in the process, the intimate details of your AR system, the relation of every piece and how it connects with others.
I don't know about you but every time I 'invest' in something mechanical, I want to know exactly how it works and the relation between the parts and where the weakest points are etc.
I HATE the idea of not being able to maintain something I own and hate even more having to pay some one to do it for me.
There is a vast amount of knowledge and know-how on this forum alone to put one together from bare bones with out finding out how good at swearing you are.

Buy a arms east or RRA upper and lower separately on the Parts section of the EE. Should be able to put together a quality rifle for $1300.
