Going to be moving to the states. What pistol should I get?

Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS with Aimpoint ACRO.

Tried and tested, and less money than the Sig P365.

A Glock 48 MOS is worth a look as well. Slimmer profile.

Get the same ammo as the local police force or the FBI for carry.

The one thing that you have to remember about concealed carry... If you have to defend yourself (God forbid), you'll have to turn the pistol in for evidence. No point in getting something expensive.

Congrats on the move!

Can I ask what you'll be doing in the US? No need to name the company, just the field you work in.
Electrical Engineering

You're going at the right time, you mentioned the RXM, well PSA has something coming well worth a look IMO. Nevermind the removal of the $200 tax stamp for SBR's and suppressors. Enjoy my friend.

Personally if it was me, I’d go with a stainless Smith & Wesson J frame snubnose 357 with compact wood grips but I’m a bit of an aficionado.
As per your question though Glock19 or a 26

I am moving to the states in June and have started doing some research on the best utilitarian gun. Currently leaning towards a glock 19, but below are a couple models I'm looking at:

  • Sig p365 macro
  • Glock 19
  • S&W M&P
  • PSA Dagger
  • Ruger RXM
  • Springfield echelon

What do you think of the above/what would be your go-to recommendation?
why would you ask the people here to tell you what to buy?.. a gold plated .44 automag with ivory grips. get that.

A PPK is probably the most comfortable to carry on a regular basis. I had a friend in the US who packed one daily for 40 years.

His 'door' gun in his house was a 45 and a 357 Mag.
