Going to buy an sxp black shadow

I've decided on the 3" but can't decide between 26" or 28" barrel.Any real difference in performance or recoil between them? Thanks

What are you going to use it for Nomad?? Mainly targets ?? & duck/ goose hunting??
If so most would probally go with the 28" no difference in recoil that you will notice. If you can shoulder both and see how they feel to you. My self I like a 26 for skeet and grouse/ rabbits but 28 plus for ducks , geese, trap and sporting clays

No difference, and a very soft recoiling gun to start with. I liked mine, too bad the member on here I bought it from that sold it to me "as new" had done some amateur smith work on it and completely ruined it and made it incredibly unsafe. Other than that it was great. Nice handling gun.

Grouse and rabbits for now.A friend is trying to get me out after the ducks so you never know.

Then I would go with the 28" if it feels good to you . I know guys jump all over me when I say this but from 40 years of flogging guns I also always think about resale and a 28" will move quicker than a 26" regardless of make.

Resale value is probably a moot point with me 3macs.In the last 20 yrs i've sold 3 guns,2 .22's and a .16 g.I doubt this will be going anywhere.I'll pick up additional barrels as needed(wanted).Just bought a new .243 and i love it so far.

I'm not up to speed on these but I would price out the barrels now since it may prove too expensive and change your decision on initial purchase. It seems unless you buy a rem or mossberg barrels after the fact are priced way out of reach for most other pumps. Brownings are like 550 as an example cheaper to buy another gun. Just a thought

So far they only make a 22 Rifled/24 Turkey/ 26/ 28 and 18.5" barrel for this gun. And none of them have separate part numbers in the catalog.

I will probably buy the Deer Model when I see them on a store shelf.

just spend the extra 30 or 40 bucks and get the camp and field combo, I mainly use it for clays, but a great choice none the less.
Buy the combo so you dont regret it down the road, as new barrels can run upwards of $200
18" is great fun for skeet.
