Going to get a Savage Youth for daughter and I

I think it will be 7mm-08. I don't want the muzzle brake though. Any youth models out there without it? This will be mainly deer. I also plan to find a PH on the EE here in a 270.
Her measurement of her forearm from near elbow to trigger pad of her finger is 14" She is slim with a longer neck and goos muscle tone. She was at a week long hunters ed camp last week (lucky bugger). She had no problem shooting a 12 GA pump, she did not have a problem with recoil flinch shooting 10 times in a row while trap shooting.

Do you think the Youth will be too small? She is 12 so she has some growing to do but I have no problem adding to the safe. I've shouldered the Youth and it was a good fit for me but she is already longer in the limbs than I am.

The 7mm-08 is an excellent caliber light kicking,alot of power and availiable in a smaller rifle.I have two a Rem model 7 7mm-08 my wife shoots and a Browning micro hunter 7mm-08 I use.My daughter also shoots the 7mm-08 with ease.Check the EE you might just find a nice 7mm-08 on there.

I thought the youth models came with shortened stock for when they are smaller and a full LOP stock for when they are not small.........
No, that is the Remington model 7 that I am thinking of, I don't know. Have you looked at that option? The Remington is a great rifle and the prices are decent as well.
