I've had the pleasure of shooting several gold cups, none of them impressed me, I'm not the best shooter out there but I can put a few on the page
I owned a spartan for awhile, had to sell it

anyways, it was fantastically accurate, to the point that it was ridiculous.
I wasn't expecting the moon when I bought it new from armco. But it exceeded all expectations by a mile and then some.
Recoil is light, no slack in the trigger, trigger is crip and no over travel, nice beaver tail.
I can't say enough of this gun, even under rapid fire, (IE pulling the trigger as soon as the sights were back on target) I could easily place the shots within 6-8 inches at 25 yds.
And without resting between shots, two handed I could manage groups of 2" or less at 25 yds.
Here are some targets I shot rapid fire, all with wolf reloaded 230gr. TMJ
First one is nine shots (8 round mags plus an extra from another mag) Not too spectacular, except for the bulleye, probably the first shot
Second one is 15 shots (two 7 round mags plus an extra from another mag) 4 shots inside 2" and 8 within 3 3/4" circle
Third one is 21 shots (three 7 round mags) 10 shots within 3 3/4" cirlce and 5 within the 2" circle one shot you can't see but is almost off the page in the lower left hand corner
I haven't managed that with any other gun.
Finally, it is the most forgiving gun, if you flinch a little or jerk the trigger a little, more often than not the shot will still go very close to where you were aiming.
My spartan was as accurate as some of the $2500 sti's at the club.
Forget the gold cup unless you like parting with lots of money for a name.
