has anyone else noticed the gold plated 1911 on Dlasks website up on thier rotating banner?

now, im not a dictator and i dont rule some 3rd world country with an iron fist but i find that gun just down right ###y!

i would so buy that gun in a heart beat if i could afford it.
i hate to admit this... but i even inquired as to the price of it, just to see if it was worth me saving up for as a present to myself for being so nice to myself all the time, opening the door for myself and what not.

but ya, its like 10k so thats outside my price range, hehe

but hella nice looking gun!
if we ever got open carry up here id sell off enough of my guns so i could buy that and carry it in a open holster.
damn would that turn so heads!

if people asked me for directions i could pull that gold plated gun out and use to to point on the map where they had to go.

could use it to check to see if the potatoes where cooked all the way through.

could use it to knock on doors.

hell, it has more uses then i thought it would!
i might be able to talk myself into this!!!!

lets see if this will work.

I'm reading Ian Flemings book "The Man with the Golden Gun" right now! Some how I think James Bond will win this one. That book was Ian Fleming's last book, he died shortly after that.

Nice. But not 10k$ nice.
I'd get myself a nice Infinity and for that kind of money, it'd be epic.

Buy a hard-chrome Norinco 1911 and send it to Precision Plating in London. Better contact them before buying the 1911; I don't know if they handle firearms or not.

I actually thought of this since I already have mother-of-pearl grips. Gold plating, $300 grips, and a $200 python skin holster for a $300 gun -- perfect!
