I remember there was a guy in Vancouver gold and chrome plating skses... Does anybody have contact info for him or anybody else that would do it?
 
Gold plating is cheap.
Yes, almost any shop could do it... The issue is not any shop would have barrel plugs.

I'm looking at making a cheap boat gun. A plated sks will still be less than a mini in stainless.
 
Plating will last longer than paint... That's why it has been used for so long.

I'm not planning on gold plating it, I would like it hard chromed... But just because you think it's "### as ####" I might have it gold plated with your user name laser engraved in the stock.
 
lol, source a barrel plug, then take it to a local chrome shop, there must be some car guys around that will tell you where the local chrome shops are. paint is even cheaper than plate. once paint erodes paint it again. It isn't that hard.
 
Seen a chromed svt-40 on the e-exchange about a month ago . It looked really sharp , still kicking myself for lettin that on go . I wouldn't mind seeing pics of what ever you decide on . Goodluck & happy shootin !
 
There's a very good chrome shop in Burnaby where I get motorcycle parts done. Damned if I can remembre the name. It is a couple of blocks north of Lougheed and just waest of Willingdon.
 
Let me know if you find a place that'll do er up,I want a gold plated sks and mosin and I guess im a homo for wanting it.
 
I think chrome plating would be a better direction to go as it is more reminiscent of military honor guards of eastern Europe... rather than the dope ass gangsta/homosexual/African warlord route.
 
Ok... I'm going to need a spare stock for a Russian sks. Anybody have one for sale cheap?

I'm seeing rainbows and unicorns maybe sparkles....

This thread is pretty funny. Lol!

I saw a chrome or nickle plated one a while back. Can't remember which plating it had, but I almost bought it. It was still really cheap (maybe $400) and defenetly looked pretty fricken cool.
