Gold Trigger for 10/22?

Hi guys and gals,

I'm wanting to get a gold (coloured) trigger for my 10/22 and an off set v-block. I've found them from Tactical Innovations, but they only ship to the states. I could have them shipped to a UPS store just over the border and then go pick them up, but was hoping to avoid this hassle.

So my question is: Is there somewhere to get either this trigger or something similar in Canada? I'm sure finding an off-set v block wouldnt be so hard, but havent been able to find a trigger like this anywhere.

FYI Steve (if you're not already aware),

It'll be a lot more of a hassle if US Customs spot checks people leaving the States, 'cause the above is actually illegal. US Export Law. You must be a licenced exporter to export any firearm parts AND to take advantage of the $100 export permit exemption.

Sorry to poop on your parade... Wish I had more constructive info.
 
Radman: If the poop on my parade is realism, then so be it.

Where there's a will there's a way, so if need be I'll paint a plastic trigger and if the paint flakes, oh well I'll toss that trigger then.

there is another option if your parts are aluminum.

you can pick up a aluminum anodizing kit and invest a hour or your time and color it yourself.
but i think the new 10/22's have plastic bottoms no?

maybe look at trying to pick up a aluminum one and then anodizing it.
ive been looking into doing this, there are kits you can pick up to do it.
i figured if i invested the money to get a kit and friends saw how nice it looked i could make back what i put out for the kit.
which isnt that much.

something to consider.

i was in the same boat as you, i wanted to color the receiver housing and bottom end OD green to match my barrel and stock.

there is a company out of the states that does gun part anodizing, you send them your parts and they do it and send it back.
BUT, like mentioned above it is technically illegal.
so your at the whim of the customs guy that is on that day.
 
Yeah, unfortunately it's plastic. Like you say if i can find a an aluminum trigger, I'd definitely anodize it myself. I prefer to work on my guns myself, it's fun and satisfying.

Wanstall's just got in a shipment of 10/22 parts from tactical Innovations last week. Give Craig a call. he may have what you want, or be able to get it.
 
What do you mean by "off-set V-block"? I assume you are referring to the barrel attachment block...how can it be "off-set"?
