Gold trigger refinishing? ?

I'm in the process of restoring a couple of my grandfather's well used and worn guns for my father and was wondering what my options are for finish worn gold triggers?
Can anyone refinish/plate gold triggers ? Should I remove the finish and blue ? Find a replacement?

I'll second Caswell's for a mail order source, if you are not in a place that has any jewellery supply businesses around.

Do some reading up on brush plating kits.

If you don't wish to buy the whole kit, just buy the plating solution, and make your own plating brush with a couple D cells and some wire, and a conductive brush.

Or you could get them Titanium Nitrided, and never have to worry about it.

Thanks for the info everyone. Was thinking I could send them out to be done. I'll look into the kits.
Has anyone used one of the Caswell kits? How has the work turned out?
