Finally broke down and ordered a rifle kit today. 40 cal L hand Late Lancaster, Green Mountain swamped barrel, Siler flintlock.
Ordered it from Pecatonica river longrifle supply.
Should have got off my butt and ordered last winter,then I could have it for the "squirrel shoots" around here.

You're gonna love it! The fellows who own .40's always say good stuff about the little caliber. Please keep us informed on how it goes during the build. I'm thinking of ordering a Pec. stock to rebuild a TC hawken....maybe next winter's project.
