I was using 4 different kinds of ammo in a BC mag( the mag with the red plastic lips) the rem golden ammo, CCI,and win super x all worked flawlessly, The win dyna points were not bad, had 4 ftf out 100. Noticed 2 things, first, the cartridges sit flatter in the plastic lip mags, they were on a huge angle in the steel lip mags. Second, when using the dyna points, and you haul back the charging handle to feed the first round , it would almost have to force the rnd in the chamber and I'd have to push the charging handle a little to close it.( I knew I was gonna have ftf when that happened, almost like some of the dyna point bullits are a little to big. Anyway my plastic lip mag , works excellentlet me know how it goes. I have major stove piping issues
Before I changed it out , I had lots of problems with the win dynapoint, but the rem golden bullets worked fine, now the dynapoints work at about 95% . Before I did any changes , I used BC steel lip mags , very unreliable , then I tryed BC plastic lip mags, very reliable with rem golden ,win super x,and cci, and about 50% with the dyna points. I blame the feeding issues on the mags, if I look at both mags with cartridges in them, you can clearly see that the steel lip is on a huge angle compared to the plastic lip ,which sits almost flat. And since I changed the extracter I've had no stove pipes.awesome....did you have ejection problems before you changed out the extractor? stove pipes? did it help?
awesome....did you have ejection problems before you changed out the extractor? stove pipes? did it help?
Have you tryed the BC plastic lip mags yet?awesome....did you have ejection problems before you changed out the extractor? stove pipes? did it help?
I know from using both that the steel lip sucks and the plastic lip runs perfect, in my gun anyway. The BC plastic lip mag that I bought was sitting in the store for quite a while, it loaded all 25 rnds with ease.( don't know if they changed anything on them lately).... Buy one , try it, if it don't work for you, I'll buy it off you for whatever it costs you, and I'll pay the shipping.I was always told the BC steel lipped mags were more reliable than the plastic lipped mags.
Have you tryed the BC plastic lip mags yet?
try the plastic lip mags, if it don't work, I'll buy it off you and pay for shipping, I'm gonna buy a couple more anyway.nope, I only tried the steel lips and they work as long as you don't tilt them or bump then when firing. that will cause a jam every time
I've ordered the Tactical Inovation mag and the H3 stripper clips, gonna give them a try.
. The 2 BC steel lip mags were painful to use, you can clearly see the difference in the angle of feed between the steel lip and the plastic lip. One other thing I've noticed was , it was difficult to get the last few rnds in the steel lip mag, all 25 rnds were easy with the plastic lip mags. ( I'm just not sure how the plastic mags will hold up) .omg....better get some asprin ready. adjusting the TI25 mags will give you a headache. funny thing, some people say it's a breeze.....and then there's others (including me) that can't get them adjusted no matter what
the HC3R mags work great, but I just load them the conventional way. too clumsy for me
I don't know why all the manufacturers of 25 round mags make them with such steep feed lips? if it's because of the 25 round capacity then why not make them 20 rounds? or 15 rounds?
I rather have a reliable 20 round mag than an unreliable 25 round mag
I'm gonna pick up a Kidd extractor next time I see Joe. hopefully that'll help
the three must do mods to every 10/22....
1. bolt release mod
2. new extractor
3. bolt buffer
