Hi there,

I have a Remington 700 SPS Varmint and enjoying it so far!

I have been using cheap Winchester and Remington ammo (under $10 a box) but I can't group them very well.

A gentleman was at the range the other day and he had me try 5 of his home-loaded 223's and the grouping was much better.

I am in no position to reload my own (yet) so I am wondering what would be great ammunition that is commercially available that should do the trick for 100y and 200y? (and that won't break the bank too badly :) )

Thanks

Luc

Good fried just bought some 77gr Federal Gold Match .223 rem and claims they shoot better than the 69gr gold match, bought them at a small store outside Renfrew ON but I am not sure if the SPS is a 1/12 Twist these bullets will not be good, friends is a Rem police with 1/9 twist

I don't know what the "L" means but Remington site says 1:12 twist for the .223
