I am looking for the aimpoint clone that 1337tactical.com sells. I have tried to get a hold of them for the last week, but they don't respond, and all of their ebay listings are gone.

Is there anywhere else I can get this one, at around the same price point?

Also, I would like a green laser, and a handle mounted rail... Could I find all of these things in one place?

Thanks in advance :)

This caught my eye:

Anyone have any experience with it? Could this be used for tactical purposes (acquiring a target quickly?)

Buds try the MFI website or post in HKPRO, they do "group buys" from time to time, if not PM and I can pass along a POF.

steeleclipse, believe me, you don't want this scope! Exept if it's for your airgun or your rimfire rifle. Don't put it on an AR-15!!!!!! You will lose your zero at each fire.

Work more, make $$$$$$ and buy good stuff!!!

I bought a Tasco Aimpoint clone from SIR and mounted it on my cz 858. I put about 400 rounds through it and it hasn't lost zero yet. Its been good so far but I've killed a russian made red dot and a bushnell red dot on the same rifle. I have a real Aimpoint but thats on the AR. Spend more money and buy once.

Thanks guys. Truth is, I really want the one from 1337tactical.com, as I have heard great things about it, I just can't get a hold of the guy.

I understand buying the real aimpont is the best solution, i just can't see myself buying an optic that costs as much as another firearm.

If anyone knows where to get a hold of the guy from 1337tactical.com, I would really appreciate it.

:eek:Please, don't tell me you ruined a Cobra sight on your VZ-858!
And I thought they were tank-tough!

You might want to try a Bushnell product from thier Trophy line. It looks like a Tridgacon (How the heck do you spell that?) but it is just red dot in a fancy looking case. It does, however work very well I have one mounted on one of the AR's!

Personal experience?

Was for me.

Of five Chicom knockoffs I have purchased, ONE holds zero on my AR15 (6-24X43)

All others either fail to hold anything resembling zero, or crack under heavy fire.

Take about $100 spent on each and I could have (am am going to) buy an EOTECH, or save for a month or two and get and ACOG.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME UNLESS IT'S GOING on .22 or air.

I know a lot of people are saying don't bother with the clones, but the guys on ar15.com had nothing but good things to say about the ones from 1337tactical.com

I have a couple of these clones and a buddy just got one for his AR. They look very good and the price is cheap especially if you buy direct from Hong Kong vis e-bay. However quality does seem very variable. Some seem to work well, others fall apart pretty quick.
Both mine and my buddy's have problems with the red dot shutting off and then coming back on.

I would only recommend buying the knock offs if you are really broke and willing to take a risk. You would be much better off buying a used ELCAN.
