Good AR-15 optic?

Anybody have experience with a Leupold VX 3 1.5-5x20mm Matte Illuminated Circle Dot on an AR-15? It seems like it would be a great scope for the platform.

Whats your experience with this optic? The specs seem perfect for an AR-15.

I have been using the similar 1.5-5 MRT and it is a great AR Optic, albeit better for service rifle and DMR "type" stuff (I am not one and don't play one on the interweb) than CQB. I like the reticule better the the Short Dot but it is no way as good a scope. For my needs it rocks.

What size MOA is the dot? Hows battery life?

It is the SPR reticule and I never use the rheostat so I am not sure. I am going to try it on my M4 on a rifle course next month so we'll see...
