Hey there

Question for you experts out there.
I'm looking for a good all around semi auto 12 gauge. I'm currently shooting an old Wingmaster which I love, but would like a semi auto.
I want to get into bird hunting, but mainly shoot clays. My budget is around 1200.00. I was thinking Browning Maxus. I'd love some opinions.

Thanks.

Recently picked up a Browning Maxus carbon fibre sporting and love it. Would easily double as a field gun giving you the best of both worlds.

I was checking out one of these when I was in the market. Wife loved it too, but I ended up spending the extra little bit and getting a Benelli...

Maxus is a nice shotgun. I fired the silver hunter Browning makes, and it was nice and decent price. Weatherby too I would toss in the list.

I just read up on Franchi Affinity, it seems like a contender for sure. Hard to beat price for what seems like a great gun.
Thanks for all you input gents.

check out a remington 11-87 very accurate and versiatile for shooting clays or birds. about 400 cheaper than your budget

I would pick the maxus over the franchi, mainly because you mentioned clay more than feathers and lighter guns may kick harder over many rounds.

Thanks for all the advice.
I ended up going to Reliable and picking up a black Maxus. They had to bring a 3" model in from Remington so I should have it in a week or so.
