good assault rifles?

Hi im looking to buy a new rifle and i want to find a nice tactical one. I have looked at the ar-15 but i want to stay nr. What are the best assault rifles you can buy?

As soon as you are assaulting with your rifle, you can call it an assault rifle till then it's just a rifle...

I recommend a Lee Enfield to start...or SKS.

Well, just to start out, Assault Rifles are illegal in Canada. Even restricted AR-15's are just semi automatic rifles in Canada. Nothing we can own can be select fire. I assume you are just looking for a semi auto rifle with a "tactical" looking stock.
