Good bag today.

Thats the way I do it...I also carry some pruning shears to clip off their wings. The feet usually pull all the guts and feathers and usually the breast is left with wings still on.

Nice pics and rifle.

Pretty sure you need to leave a wing on ;)

Nice shooting by the way! that is a slick little rifle :D

I don't remember Lethbridge having so many hills........
Beauty country though. I worked one fall southeast of Lethbridge.... Skiff area. Had the best time hunting those Grey (Huns) Partridge with my spaniel. Great eating.
Where were these photos from?

Good job! Nice pic's. Save some time and skin them, wrap em in bacon, bake and enjoy

Thanks guys. This was in the pass, and the ammo was Federal's .22 LR bulk stuff.

Good shooting, you using low velocity shorts or l.r.? How many did you miss?

Would you belive me if I told you none? Well sort of.:)

3 were 1 shot to the head/neck. The blue stepped foward at the last second and the bullet body hit him, but he was dead in his tracks, and did little damage to the off breast. But the first spruce took 5 shots. Apparantly there were 4 branches between me and his head that I found out about afterwards. :D

SO you are the one who got all the grouse this year, eh? I haven't seen very many out looking for them. Only got one Spruce this year so far. :(
