Good BC Gunsmith 1911?

Barry at Bits of Pieces is another good 1911 smith, very skilled guy.

I made that mistake , won't use him ever again . Waited 6 months for him to do my m-305 (was promised 6weeks) only to receive sub standard work a mountain of bs excuses , attitude and generally a VERY BAD experience all round .

Reliability, good mags, and proper springs (recoil, firing pin, msh)
Slide stop is drop in
Ambi safety needs to be hand fitted, not drop in
Hammer/sear drop in combos can give a nice crisp 3 to 3.5# trigger
Magwells can be dropped in, look up murray gardner, in port coquitlin
Mag button, go to doubletap, they had ed brown omes, still sometime require fitting

Dlask is a decent gunsmith, gunner is retired, clarence is an unknown.
Look up ace guns, he does a lot of 1911s for IPSC

Look up murray, he will have everything to point you in the right direction. And have most parts

Btw, kimbers are not what people think they are, you are paying for the name, they are just like any mass produced gun. Not like the old hand fitted ones 10 years back.

Pm me if you have questions
