I have a bore guide for my rifles however it never seems to fit right and always comes loose.

What are most people using, any recommendations on a good, high end bore guide for a precision rifle??

Lucas makes one of the best.

Lucas Bore Guide and Inserts 27.50 ea. / inserts 7.00 ...... in the USA

From Hoehn

at the www with a dot and then benchrest.com/hoehn

I wouldn't use anything but a Lucas on my panda. Use sinclair on my hunting guns, but never clean a gun without one. The Lucas uses an insert in the back that slips over the rod before you screw on a brush. This allows the guide to closely fit the cleaning rod, helping to keep the rod aligned with the bore.

I contacted Mike Lucas, (the maker), and one can purchase directly from him. Shipping to Canada, like bringing anything up from the US, add to the cost of the bore guide which itself is quite reasonable. Looked at some pics on the net and they appear to be built top notch!! So much so that he will request the diameter of your specific cleaning rod so that the system works as best as possible.

If one the dealers who support the forum carry or wish to import please let the interested parties know of the availability of this product.

Thanks for the recommendation!
