I don't hunt I just plink around up the mountain with my rifles , I'm reloading .303 what is the better choice of bullet weight for shooting within 200 yards.? 150 , 174 or 180 grain??

Go to the gun shows early, and find the bargains for .303 bullets. I picked up 125 174 grain FMJ bullets for $20 not that long ago. The other .303 owners will be right behind you, so be prepared to snap up any deals you can find !

.310 fmj 125gr for the 7.62x39 shoot well in all my 303's. They are cheap, and I run them at 2800fps with good accuracy.

I use 100 grain pistol bullets or the lightest rifle bullet I can find. SR4759 was discontinued so now I use Trail Boss powder and not worry about double charges of fast pistol powders. I also use these loads to fire form the cases using a thin rubber o-ring.

After the case is formed to the chamber the case will headspace on the shoulder and not the rim. And this will prevent case stretching.

I'm using same load as bigedp51 pistol bullets are plentiful also been using 125gr plated bullets with trailboss can get 500 of those bullets for 77$

Have tried all three weights you listed. I just buy what is the cheapest. I have not found any difference in recoil from the different weights. Just try to pick one and stick with it so you are not forever messing with your sights. 150 gr seems to be the most available and/or cheaper

I use the bullets and powder pulled from 7.62x54r. It's cheap and it works well enough for going bang. I reduce the load to about 44 grains from the 48 that comes in the x54.
