Good "commercialy available" slide grease

My duty pistol has seen -50 Celcius weather and a bit colder. G96 and a good synthetic gun oil holds up. I wouldn't trust grease.

As I recall the Germans ran into that problem on the Eastern front. Their oil froze, the Russians thinned theirs with gas and it worked.

Slide Glide Lite + SIG P226 X-5 Allround + -2C = Failure to return to battery

I like Slide Glide in the summer, but it is not your friend in the cold outdoors.

I have standardized on Eezox for most uses. It seems to be the best preservative there is and also one of about three that passed the cold test for the RCMP study, G96 did as well. I have used it in some non gun apps and is far better than anything else I have tried and I have tried a lot. Also trying NanoLube right now. If you want a sticky gooey oil then get some stp or way oil (I have 5 gallons of that).

Grease your rifle oil your pistols. Grease adds no extra benefits to your pistol it can actually add malfunctions. Follow the manufacturers directions and your pistol will last.

I have to disagree. I have used SLide Gluide Lite on my USP, Edge, CZ and Tanfoglio,..as well as some on my Armalite. I have experienced "0" problems.
I use Breakfree to clean and leave it on for a while before wipiong off the residue. I then apply a thin coat of Brian Enos SG Lite to the rails of the pistol, and berrel, just enough to allow easy movement. I am more generous on the recoil spring assembly.

+4 on the Slide Glide. But you do have to use it spareingly. (sp?)
I put it on the P226, and it would not cycle properly. Whipped a bit off, and it runs verry smooth.
