good coyote calibre??

Calling coyotes is one of my favorite pastimes and my Tika 22-250 is a dog slaying machine.

I use the good ol' .223..

I know I can kill a bear at 200 yards with it and 53 gr TSX bullets, so a yote should be no problemo...

I just can't get enough of using the .204, the fastest of all the loads mentioned so far with the 220 Swift coming in a close second.
I got the rifle with the intention of reloading, I get such terrific groups from factory ammo that I am just going to stick with it for now.

Nothing less than 50 BMG will do the trick


I use a .223 with a heavy barrel on it, that lets me reach out and touch stuff easily, but if I could go back in time I'd get the same rifle in .243 because it's a more useful all around caliber and now costs about the same the way .223 cost just keeps going up and up.
With the .223 I reload using 63 grain soft points and they are devastating to anything they hit.

I've got a couple of favorites- 6mmBR shooting a 75 grain Vmax @ 3300 fps and a 6mm Ackley shooting a 87 grain Vmax @ 3680 fps.

.223 . There are so many factory options, let alone handloading. With the right load, you can reach out as far as you'd ever need to reach!
