Good day for me. Bad day for a Coyote

Finally got another one. This one must have busted me because i seen it when it was on its way out of town. It was quartering away at a brisk trot and. I swung the gun over and whooopped and it did not stop, i had about 2 seconds to make the shot before it went into a wash. it felt like one motion, swing over whooop bam... WHACK. But it kept going. I then ranged it to where I shot at it. 236 Yards. Daisy and I walked down to see if we could find it, I walked right to where i shot it. Daisy was sniffing all over the place. no blood... she took of sniffing. she tracked it down. went about 100 yards.

I never noticed the little skulls on your gun before, I like them:) I see Daisy is out of the doghouse. Did she learned a lesson from her jail sentence?

the old BSA .222 was at it again tonite. Approx 100 yards and a 50 v-max pill put another coyote down. I have been sitting on a calf carcass that the coyotes had chased, pulled down and gutted.... a 2 week old calf.
 
Started the day off with the most exciting stand ever. My friend Steve and I were set up about 50 yards apart. I seen 2 coyotes come in and I was waiting for him to shoot ione. and he didnt He could not see them from where he was sitting. Little did I know he was watching 3 other coyotes. I took the shot on the bigest of the 2 coyotes, and a running shot at the 2nd.. Then got on on the call to see if i could bring it back, then I hear Steve BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM!!!! HA HA. he was shooting at one that was 550 yards away and on the move. So I keep calling and I see ANOTHER one! at about 600 yards away in I different spot that Steve is shooting at. I ranged it and was getting on my gun and it took off befor I could send one its way.

6 Coyotes on one stand. talk about exciting!
