I dont know if this is the right place to post this here. Move if needed

I like to get out shooting every weekend if I can, but it doesnt always happen that way. :)

Background: I got into hunting coyotes about 5 years back now and just like every coyote hunter you always had some coyotes that wouldnt come in and hang back 400-500yds or more, specially later in the season. Well that is what got me into reloading my own rounds and ALL that stuff that comes along with just trying to get better with shooting in general. One of those things is getting better shooting those longer ranges. Last year was my first real year that I actually ranged out a little shooting range out to 550yds on some private land that I got permission go on. This year I had to move across the road because I ran out of room and to much traffic on the old side, gravel pit...

So yesterday morning I went out to check some things out on paper then on to some steel and shot this with with my 223.

I wish I could shoot like this every time. Four rounds into 2.25" @ 735yds.

And the 243 on the left target. The impact on the right is the first round, I adjusted left (to much) and came back half for two rounds in the middle. Good thing is, its only 2" of elevation for four rounds, which is good I think...

Went out to 955 after that but it all feel apart. Couldnt see any splash around the target so I couldnt adjust for it. :(

Came to just show a couple pics but gave a little more. Sorry bout that.

Wow! Just, Wow! That's some incredible shooting! That group is about .3 MOA. I'm happy with that at 100 yards... Now to get that at 735 yards, that's beyond amazing. Congratulations!

And I think we're all a little jealous of that shooting spot you got!

Hey thanks guys. I guess sometimes it just all comes together for those few minutes.

I have shot a couple 2" groups before a 550 and 490 last year with witnesses. :) Three rounds groups only though, I know I know 3 rounds wont cut it for some of you guys, but its fine for me and what I shoot for. :)

Well I got a chance to get back out and get a good morning shooting in. Having a fun time doing it too. :)

Im trying to get my dope down with the 243 shooting 95gr TMK's. Its coming along. I was guessing about 3000fps and it averaged out (magneto) to 3005, so my guess was pretty close. heh Only made a limited amount of rounds for it this time, so I had to make em count. Shot 450, 560, 730 & 1025. With a combination of tweaking JBM and my Shooter app it all seems to be falling into place. 450/560 was right on the money with 730yds putting 3 rounds in 2.5" ctc. Sometime Ill have to try 5+ round group. After that I only had 5 rounds left for 1025. First round splashed what looked like a half target width left of the target and pretty close to center, second round I dialed over 1 moa and the splash was further away from the target. Turned my windage the wrong fricken way!!! arg I think Im going to try and dial close and hold for changes from now on. Third and fourth round didnt see a splash, so I thought I hit my target but found out later without noticing that the wind died down because my fifth shot was way right. That wind is a killer.... I dont know how you guys do it so well... :)

Some pics 243 @ 730

Also picked up a new range finder and found out that my 955yd target in the first post is 1025 according the sig kilo 2000. Thanks wheels btw. The old one didnt reach out that far so I kind of shood in the middle with it and ranged bother directions and something much of been really off to be like 70yds out. :/

Again I thought I would share since Im pretty stoked on how things are turning out since I knew nothing about shooting a couple years back, but learning and teaching myself a few things seems to be paying off. Well in my eyes anyways. :)

Hey thanks Stevey.

I got my lil range here because of shooting coyotes and gophers. Just asked if I could use the land in summer time for practicing and it wasnt a problem.
