I dont know if this is the right place to post this here. Move if needed
I like to get out shooting every weekend if I can, but it doesnt always happen that way.
Background: I got into hunting coyotes about 5 years back now and just like every coyote hunter you always had some coyotes that wouldnt come in and hang back 400-500yds or more, specially later in the season. Well that is what got me into reloading my own rounds and ALL that stuff that comes along with just trying to get better with shooting in general. One of those things is getting better shooting those longer ranges. Last year was my first real year that I actually ranged out a little shooting range out to 550yds on some private land that I got permission go on. This year I had to move across the road because I ran out of room and to much traffic on the old side, gravel pit...
So yesterday morning I went out to check some things out on paper then on to some steel and shot this with with my 223.
I wish I could shoot like this every time. Four rounds into 2.25" @ 735yds.
My view
And the 243 on the left target. The impact on the right is the first round, I adjusted left (to much) and came back half for two rounds in the middle. Good thing is, its only 2" of elevation for four rounds, which is good I think...
Went out to 955 after that but it all feel apart. Couldnt see any splash around the target so I couldnt adjust for it.
My little shooting range
Came to just show a couple pics but gave a little more. Sorry bout that.
