There are 2 piece Weaver bases and extension rings for those, would run about $50 vs buying a new scope...they mount as low or high as any other option. Always better to mount the scope where it works best, that's why I've never liked those fixed turn in type bases and rings as you are limited by the mounting length of your scope.
Xbolt is a bigger action anyway, and I'd probably go 3-9 or 4-12....2-7 would look like a toy on that lol

Just a good, clear, durable "Made in Japan" scope for hunting things. I have one on my M85, and probably going to get another one for my Z5.
