Im looking for a good FFP scope with moderate to high power, MIL graduated in the 1k range price.

Some suggestion is wanted.

For now my choice going for the Sightron SIIISS 6-24X50 LRFFPMH

Thanks,

I had the Vortex FFP and now I have the Sightron - Liked the Vortex, love the Sightron. If I won the lottery I might get a S&B PD II but I dont think it would improve my shooting scores, but it might make me feel more manly ........ until someone woops my ass with their score using a Sightron (
AS always..... YMMV, depending on what your eyes like ... and what your pocket book can handle

I compared the sightron side by side about a year back against the vortex ffp and liked the vortex better at the time. Use out in the field might differ my opinion though as I have not been able to hands-on shoot with either.

Can you explain why?

Thanks,

I found the glass quality comparable side by side for clarity, with the exception that I found colors a bit more vivid with the vortex. It wasn't a night and day difference, but being just really judgmental the colors seemed more "true" to the actual object I was looking at with the scopes. Other than that I found them both great options.

I have hard time choosing between the Sightron and the Bushnell...

When you say you have a hard time choosing between them, is that after you have looking through both of them?
If not, you may want to ask if some locals are going out to a shooting range and arrange to meet them and look through their scopes - if possible
There might even be a local Gunnutz with both scopes who would let you come and look through both theirs.
After all my reading and research I was certain I knew what I wanted, but after spending some time at a store that had a rifle stock with rubber scope mounts so you could swap scopes I was surprised at what my eyes liked and what they didnt like.
You may not have that option but if so take the extra time and do it .... unless you have lots if cash to burn, or have been lucky at playing lotteries

Personally I love my Sightrons and seldom hear any complaints about them compared to anything else in their price range :dancingbanana::dancingbanana:

Unfortunately I don't have this opportunity, so I have to choose based on what I read only. I would pick the Sightron, but I like more the reticule in the Bushnell and it's less expensive for about the same specs.

My dilemma:

- The Sightron probably have a better optic with clearer image up to maximum magnification.

- The Bushnell have the reticule I want and cost less

I'm seriously thinking to get the Bushnell and it's probably what will happen next week if I don't get more information from here.

The reticle is a big part of the scope, don't lose sight of that. I will admit I have not looked through a Sightron, but Bushnell Elite Tacticals, Nightforce, lots of of Leupold and Vortex. All these scopes are certainly "clear enough" in my opinion. They all have bright clean images, through the entire zoom range. From what I've seen once you get in this price range with FFP scopes most have good optical quality, and the biggest difference between brands are reticles and other features. Bushnell offers a "Bulletproof 100% Money Back Guarantee" so you can try it out and if you're not pleased, get a full refund. Just a thought.

Your comment helped me a lot to make my choice, i'm convinced now. I go with the Bushnell.

Many thanks to everyone, it's very appreciated.
