I am just getting into IDPA, IPSC sytle shooting and thinking about buying a CZ 75 Shadow. Is there any CZ owners out there that can recommend a good holster. I have been looking online but the holsters for the CZ don't seem as popular as the P226 or 1911. I would prefer a leather holster as opposed to the plastic style ones. Cheers.

Very few shooting out of leather in IPSC these days. The go-to holster in Production class is the Bladetech. The DOH model has the advantage of being easily convertible from IPSC to IDPA holster rules and back.

I'd be careful of leather because of the fiber optic front sight. I've heard some horror stories about how easy it is to break. I use the Bladetech SRB for my Shadow and it has clearance on top so it doesn't ever rub against the sights. As Viper26 also mentioned above, the backs can be switched to have it DOH (dropped and offset), SRB for tight to to the body concealment, or Tek-Lok for quick on-off. kydex holsters also offer a very quick draw and easy tension adjustment.

I tried a leather holster for idpa on my shadow, it was more of an effort getting it out of the holster than the bladetech. Plus there were noticeable wear marks on the shadow's finish after using the holster. Prolonged leather holster use will hasten wear marks more than a bladetech type.
