Hi all... My week went by fast..... 52 weeks till the next hunt 
Heres it goes ...
We only hunt the first week of the Rifle season in Haliburton due to work constraints.
Arrived sunday ( all 8 of us ) to setup Camp and prepare for the hunt.
Monday morning started off with a bang !! ... First Run consisted of 3 shots and no deer down !!! Couple guys shooting at a couple does but no luck.
2nd run which started around 10 30 proved to be the best run EVER since i have joined. Doggers got shooting first. Dogger#1 had a doe almost run him over and had to shoot from the hip since he had no time. At 5 yards Buckshot does some heavy damage !
About 1 min later Dogger#2 Met face to face with a fawn and took care of that with one quick shot.
30 mins after that I took a nice doe that sneaked up on me to about 50 yards in the brush. Waited for her to walk away from all the brush
*** black dot where I watched the doe creep through the brush**
... Did one quick " BAP" stoped her and BANG .... Doe down... First shot with my new 7mm and it worked like a charm.
Maybe 5 mins later 2 more shots rung out and I hear on the radio that another dry doe had been shot.
WHERE ARE ALL THE BUCKS ??
15 mins after that Dogger #1 Meets the buck screwing all the does ontop of this hill.. After 4-5 shots the small buck is down and the run is complete..... 5 deer down in about an hour .... Best run ever considering noone missed.
Well after gutting and getting all the deer back to camp we had lunch and headed out to see if we could get our limit the first day.
We did the swamp run and pushed out 3 more deer !! ... This time 2 were missed .... One a nice 6 pointer that had 2 shots fired at it ..NONE CONNECTED.... not 1 min later.... A guy had a shot at no more than 20 yards with 00 buckshot and MISSED ... Yes we dont know how but he missed ... fired 3 times and the doe danced off ..... No blood or hair at either of the locations..
30 mins into the run 2 more shots Rang out and another fawn was down..
***EXCUSE the gutpile .. lol
6 deer on 3 runs on the first day.... Action packed day thats forsure. ( 2 tags left )
*** Lots of hanging and drinking that night
*** Hunt Camp leader declared BUCKS ONLY the rest of the week since we had more than enough doe/fawn meat
Tues was Uneventful due to Brutal rain and hardly any deer movement.... No shots fired ( a couple does visted us but noone shot )
Wed brought better conditions but still rather wet for most of the day.... Didnt stop Dogger #1 from stopping this brute.... A couple shots from his shotgun and the brute was down.
We didnt hunt the afternoon and with only 1 tag left we were hoping to see a nice buck in our last 2 days at the camp.... I left Thursday due to work and the guys stayed till friday night but no other bucks seen....
Overall a Great week... Great Times
