I'm spending some of my Christmas time doing some much needed loading, I should be doing books but this is much more fun. Funny how I have all my reloading done by the tax deadline
I mostly hunt deer, but apply for moose and elk tags, haven't got one yet.
I would however hate to have a deer run away with a hole straight through him because the bullet didn't open up.
Most of my shots "should" be well within 400yds, but also may only be 50yds.
Loading my .358 STA with 225 gr tsx, will this bullet work ok for deer? I would like to use the 250gr tsx also. I also have some 250gr nosler partitions, would this bullet work better for smaller game?
For my .375 ruger, I used 300gr hornady btsp, I am considering trying some nosler 260gr accubonds. Any ideas how these perform on deer?
I realize these are overkill for deer guns but I hope to be practiced up for a buffalo, yukon moose or bear hunt one day. Mostly, I'm just playing because that's what this is all about for me
