Good IPSC holsterfor a G17

Bladetech is great. Fobus is ok, but Bladetech is much better, and is adjustable. Get a DOH (dropped and Offset) Bladetech.

Would something like this be good?

The come for glocks as well.

Check out the BlackHawk Serpa Kydex holster. If your at the RA center check out Georges Theriault (sp?), he has them. He is a IPSC RO and has tow sons that compete as well.

I know Georges . Tring to get setup for less the 100. I already have a double belt, but the holster it came with (sarfailand) is not agreeing with me.

Race holster. Not looking for a CR SPead or anything yet. Just something to start IPSC with.

Well, for 'race holsters', I have the SuperGhost, which works just fine. Had a fobus, but that was really hard to pull that gun out...

The least expensive race holster is the Speedsec 5. You're looking at about $180 taxed and shipped from Club de Tir Montreal. It's also a dran good holster.

I use a Guga, because that is what I could find in stock bloody anywhere when I went to buy.

Jeff, if you can't afford the CR, you can't afford a race holster. Get the bladetech "DoH", or "dropped and offset hoslter", about $80 to your door if they don't ship UPS, and tell yourself you are practising for USPSA production which has different holster rules than IPSC.

Thanks Dan. Right now the DOH looks like my best option. I may end up waiting till I can get the CR, as it can be used with my NZ as well.

Is the DOH not IPSC legal??

Serpas are nice holsters, but not Race holsters, which he asked for. They have a level of retention that you don't have to defeat with race hoslters. Bladetechs don't require you to defeat a level 1 retention.

No, it's fine for IPSC, it's just a bit slower, compared with a race holster.

Race holsters are not USPSA legal, in production division, anyhow.

Oh, and the CR for glock is different from the cr for everything else. If you buy a CR for your Glock, you *cannot* use it with your CZ.

Why are the Gun god against!?!? I think I will end up with the DOH then.

Thanks for your help.

I use a Bladetech DOH for my G22 as well and am quite pleased with it. I find myself being more aggressive with the draw and I am quite satisfied with the adjustability of the holster. Two thumbs up.
