Good load for Win Legacy lever action 45 colt

Hi,
I am looking for a good load for my new lever action colt.
Info on reloading sites don't seem to have what I need.
There is a lot of info for pistol loads for the colt, but little for the rifle.
Here's what I have, so far, and can pick up other powder or bullets if needed.
Win Legacy 24 " barrel.
IMR 4227. Hornady XTP 200 gr and FTX 225 gr.

Some load info for pistol show 18 gr of 4227 and max 23.5.
And have seen a few loads in trapper mod 94 (16" barrel) with 250 gr XTP with H110 powder.
Should I start with the heavier 250 gr bullet ?

Any suggestions ?

What are you using these loads for hunting?

Yes Ben, for hunting, just deer.
The rifle has shot only cast thus far so I'll be doing a firm cleaning with Wipe Out or whatever can get the lead out.
Looking to get 1300 - 1400 fps with the new loads.
