good low priced hunting scope recommendaton needed

I like the Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40 with ballistic plex reticle. I see them on Amazon for only $214. I have two of them, and they work fine for deer hunting.

I don't see any mention of Vortex. No love for the Vortex scopes?

Vortex prices have gone up a lot in the last few years. I love my 3-9x40 Viper with a 1" tube, but it was $299 on sale a few years ago and now that money won't buy you a diamondback.

That's a good price on the Fullfield II. I'd buy one if I didn't just buy a bunch of fishing stuff...

Agree on the Burris. I probably have more of those on hunting rilfes than any other. - dan

IMO the best inexpensive scope is the Bushnell elite 3500. Made in Japan, brighter and clearer glass than my Leupold vx1 and vx2, lightweight, and lifetime warranty. Not sure if anyone still has them in stock, but they were selling for ~$220 when I got mine. I should have bought a few of them.
