Brass requires an export permit?....

...I ordered 75 12ga brass shotshells from Buffalo arms a month ago and the order arrived in 6 business days....Buffalo Arms says they ship brass all the time to Canada, never a problem.....

I don't know about this theory about buying in the USA hurting Canadian businesses......Take the folks at the top of these pages, they won't go out of their way to get/sell things reloaders need/want....instead they sell what they have and it's usually not what I want and they charge too much for it. So these outfits sell what they can get easily and inexpensively, and I'm supposed to buy from them? Stuff i don't want but is convenient for them? When i ask for something, it's usually"we can't get it", so I'm supposed to buy something else from them??

I totally agree, seems anytime I want something I am forced to go across the border because no one has what I am looking for. I did manage to find some Berger bullets if I wanted to pay 75 or 80 bucks a box by the time they got to me:eek:

I buy bullets & Lee parts from Higginson's.
Price is reasonable and service is fast.

I get buddies to buy primers & gunpowder for me on their shopping expeditions to save the dangerous goods shipping charges.

There are no hidden costs. The license is 3% of the entire order, so a $100 costs $3 for the license. The State Department changed there registration fee structure and I had to add a license fee, but at least it's still reasonable. What you will not see are is the duty and GST that you will have to pay upon arrival of your goods. I ship all orders via USPS, which is the most economical. Nosler seconds are in bags so I can use the flat rate envelops up to 4 pounds. All other orders are shipped International Priority and orders between 6 and 20 pounds get shipped in Priority flat rate boxes.
