Good News..! Cabelas Warehouse in Winnipeg has Varget and IMR4064 in stock...!

A guy at WSS winnipeg told me today that they do indeed have a shipment confirmed to be coming in. Too bad Cabelas had Varget today so when WSS gets theirs, I'll only be buying 4350.

I ordered up a couple pounds of varget and IMR 4895. Knowing there would be extra shipping I awaited their email, turns out they wanted $150 to ship 4lbs of powder. I promptly canceled that, don't understand why they charge that much for shipping. Guess I'll wait for nosale sports to get some in or wait for a CGN sponsor to get some in stock.

That's not too bad, cabelas wanted $276 to ship 2lbs to me in Calgary. After that I was able to aquire 3lbs of h1000 and 4lbs of ws780 from shooters edge in Calgary just before Xmas and on the weekend 3lbs of h4895 from was in Calgary as well. People complain that they can't find any reloading components but I haven't had issues, just gotta keep checking back with stores I find.

I'm from Lethbridge, weird there would be over a $100 difference. I'm not a high volume shooter so I just keep my eyes open and usually don't have to big a problem finding powder, unless it's for my handguns.

Cabela's send powder to their Regina store from Winnipeg free of charge. I just pick it up there next time I'm in town or have someone pick it up for me. :)

I just bought 8 lbs of IMR4064 from Hummasons. It cost me about $250, taxes and shipping included. There is no shortage if you look around - listen to tips and advice and don't expect it to be at your local shop.

I have observed that it's the guys who deal in very small quantities who are typically the ones who are in distress. The best way to avoid that is to buy 3 lbs instead of 1 lb next time.

I generally buy 2 lbs of Varget at a time, but now I realize I only have 2 lbs left and feel like I have none... :D

Going to have to invest in kegs. Funny thing is, the one powder I do have in a keg is Titegroup, and I only charge my 9mm ammo with it... 4 grains at a time. That keg will last me years. Varget on the other hand, I'm blowing through it 41 grains at a time in my 308 Win plinking ammo.

If anyone has a bead on a keg of Varget, I'm in.

AmmoSource had some yesterday. Sold out today. 1lb and keg's.

Wholesale had some on Monday, sold out by Tuesday morning. 1lbs only.

Ironically enough I saw two police officers buying a 8lb.

Found this at ours today.
