Good News from Boyds Regarding Ruger American

I put in a product request on the Boyds gun stock website te other day. I received this in an email today:

"Hello, we are getting ready to make the stocks for the ruger american. If you would check back in about a month, they should be on the website. Thanks, Cherish A

That is good news indeed. I was wondering how long it would take Boyd's to get something on the market for these new Rugers.

Curious to see what bottom metal and mag configuration they'll use. Might be a stock in my .243's future.

I'm guessing they will include a trigger guard similiar to the Savage Axis boyds stocks.

With the Ruger American coming to Canada shortly in stainless, that makes it a lot more attractive...being able to put it in a solid laminated stock instead of the plastic factory stock with some give to it, will put the icing on the cake for a lot of guys.

Would be a good thing, lots of southpaws out there, but in a mass produced discount budget rifle, you keep the price down by streamlining production. Like Ford did, you can have any of our cars any colour as long as it's black...
Might be hope though, they did bring out a compact version!
